Do you know what you and your family are (or will be) drinking, showering with, and washing your clothes with?
Yes, we have standards for water supplied to your home. However, you don’t know what happens on the journey of the water from the treatment facility to your faucets. There could be a hidden source for contamination such as a damaged water supply pipe, stagnant water growing bacteria, or old plumbing pipes in the home. Just to name a few possibilities.
Some possible contaminants can impact a person’s health, especially if you or a family member have existing health issue or a compromised immune system. In extreme cases, contaminants can cause permanent harm or even death. We offer water testing as an additional service for you so you know the quality of the water in your home. Either this will give you peace of mind, or let you add a water filtration system to improve the water quality in your home.
Other considerations are hardness of the water. Hard water can negatively impact your appliances such as washing machine, dishwasher, or water heater. It can also decrease their life span, especially if not maintained properly.
How does water testing work?
We take a water sample from a tap in the home. Then we send the sample to a state-of-the-art lab for analysis. The lab then produces a very detailed report for you.
What does the report look like?
The report is very easy to read and understand.
How much does your water testing cost?
The regular price is $179 with a 7 to 10-day turn-around. The Rush price is $209 with a 4 to 5-day turn-around.
What does your water test check for?
The lab will analyze the water sample and check for the presence of 45 different important parameters:
Metals: Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Boron, Cadmium, Calcium, Chromium (Total), Cobalt, Copper, Iron, Lead, Magnesium, Manganese, Mercury, Molybdenum, Nickel, Selenium, Silver, Sodium, Strontium, Thallium, Tin, Titanium, Vanadium, Zinc
Non-Metal Inorganics: Alkalinity (as CaCO3), Chloride, Fluoride, Hardness, Nitrate (as N), Sulfate, pH
Other: Total Dissolved Solids, Uranium, Lithium, Potassium, Phosphorus
Calculated Parameters: CSMR, Grains per gallon, Hardness (Total), Hardness (Ca,Mg), Sodium Adsorption Ratio, Langelier Saturation Index
I want more or specific stuff tested. Can you do that?
Yes. Please contact us for additional/advanced water testing options.
